Commonly known as an ear, nose and throat (ENT) surgeon, Dr. Mark Agrama is an otolaryngologist, or head and neck surgeon. Dr. Agrama is trained in the medical and surgical diagnosis and treatment of adults and children with disorders of the ear, nose and throat, and head and neck. Although many think of hearing loss, sinus problems or ear infections, otolaryngology encompasses much more. Along with the ENT team at River Region Health System, Dr. Agrama can provide care for a wide range of disorders including hearing and balance, sinuses, snoring and apnea, and thyroid tumors. Dr. Agrama has particular interests in the treatment of voice and speech disorders, and is a skilled facial plastic surgeon. A published physician, Dr. Agrama is board certified in otolaryngology and board eligible in facial plastic reconstructive surgery. He completed his undergraduate studies at Duke University and received his medical degree from the University of Miami School of Medicine. As part of his postgraduate training he completed both his internship in general surgery and residency in otolaryngology – head and neck surgery at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia.
