Welcome to Aspenwood Internal Medicine, the office of Dr. Anisa K. Moore and Dr. Crista C. Spears. Both Dr. Moore and Dr. Spears are board-certified internists with a special interest in women's health and preventive medicine. In particular, both physicians advocate for proven life-saving interventions: mammograms and colonoscopies, nutrition and exercise, blood pressure and cholesterol management, to name just a few.

With a background in both literature and medicine, Dr. Moore combines the scientific rigor of modern medical training with a humanistic and empathetic approach to the needs and concerns of her patients. Her research on melanoma has made her passionate about the detection and prevention of skin cancer, and she routinely performs a variety of skin biopsies. Most importantly, she strives for open communication between patient and physician, believing that education and encouragement are as powerful as medications in promoting overall health.

With several years' experience as a primary care physician in the Denver area, Dr. Spears focuses on the importance of a patient-physician partnership, involving her patients as much as possible in decisions regarding their health care. She strives to unite her knowledge of the latest medical literature and professional guidelines with her patients’ individual preferences and beliefs, so that patients understand and are comfortable with any necessary testing and medications. Dr. Spears’ patients respect her for her medical expertise, but even more importantly, they trust her because she listens to them.
